PASADENA, Texas—A half dozen students ended up in the hospital after district police used pepper spray to break up a fight at Pasadena High School.

Just before 11 a.m., two 16-year old girls reportedly started fighting in the school cafeteria.

Two Pasadena ISD police officers showed up and said that the fight was so physical they had no choice but to pull out the spray.

An unidentified female student described what happened next.

"They started pepper spraying everyone and it went on for about 30 seconds," she said.

Raymond Aguilar was in the cafeteria too.

"Everybody was coughing and just sneezing," said Aguilar. "It was pretty crazy. Everybody was coughing in each other’s food."

Six students, including one of the girls in the fight, were treated and released from Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena.

The two fighting students were ticketed for disorderly conduct.
