HOUSTON – A pedestrian, who was lying down in a parking lot, was killed Friday night after he was run over by a car in southwest Houston.

Police said that a car pulled into an apartment complex entrance at 10 p.m. in the 10700 block of Westbrae Parkway and ran over a man lying in the middle of the entrance.

The pedestrian was highly intoxicated, police said. He was stuck underneath the vehicle, and the Houston Fire Department was called in to pull him out from under the car.

The driver of the car is not expected to be charged.
