HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- Deputies investigated a fatal auto-pedestrian accident late Tuesday along Highway 249 in northwest Harris County.

It was reported around 8:30 p.m. near Seton Lake Drive, sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies said a man attempted to cross 249 in an unprotected area and was hit by a female driver who couldn’t stop in time. Another female driver came along and also hit the man, who died at the scene.

Both drivers stopped and were questioned by deputies.

No charges are expected to be filed in the case.
