Pearland house in ruins after overnight blaze

PEARLAND, Texas – An overnight fire in Pearland left a one-story house in ruins Saturday.

It started around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Paul and Mary.

According to authorities, firefighters arrived to the scene to find a one-story brick house fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews pulled a second alarm and Friendswood Fire Department assisted.

Firefighters said the male homeowner got and safely. No injuries were reported.

Authorities said the Pearland Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of blaze.
