HOUSTON—The Pasadena Fire Marshall’s office has confirmed that the cause of a two-alarm fire that engulfed an old church was arson.
Suspects were seen running from the building. No one has been arrested and investigators are still working to determine how the fire was set.
The fire occurred around 3 p.m. on Friday in the 3500 block of Red Bluff. It required the efforts of about 80 firefighters from the Houston Fire Department and the Pasadena Fire Department.
A day care next door had to be evacuated as firefighters battled the blaze. No injuries were reported.
