PASADENA, Texas – Pasadena ISD officials released a statement Monday morning regarding a recent Facebook post concerning a possible threat to one of their campuses.

According to the Pasadena Independent School District, law enforcement, including the FBI, were able to determine that the threat was not directed toward any students who currently attend Pasadena Dobie High School.

Officials said the threat targeted a former Dobie student, who attends a school in the Houston Independent School District.

The district has beefed up security at Dobie as a precaution and instructed staff and students to be on alert for any unusual activity.

“The safety of our students and staff is a primary concern to us. We will continue to do everything in our power to keep everyone at Dobie HS safe today and every day,” officials said in a statement posted on the district’s and school’s Facebook pages.

The message was also sent out to parents of Dobie students. However some parents still removed their children from the school Monday.

There were also rumors of a threat made against Houston ISD's Madison High School. Security was increased there as well as a precaution.
