SPRING, Texas -- There were calls for resignations Tuesday evening at the Spring I.S.D. board meeting.
Parents told board members they were concerned about security and discipline after last week's fatal stabbing of a Spring student in the cafeteria.
One father mentioned other problems the district has had in the past, including teachers accused of having sex with students and fights at Dekaney High School.
“Just as we hold our children accountable to their performance in school, this board, this leadership needs to be accountable for the lack of leadership and the lack of discipline that's going on in our schools,” said one concerned parent.
The district is holding meetings for parents to voice their concerns, but you must register to attend.
The first meeting which is set for Wednesday morning was already full.
On Wednesday at Spring High School, there will be three entrances open and seven metal detectors will be used.
