HOUSTON – Federal health officials are holding a string of events to help local kids get healthy before heading back to school.
On Saturday, parents and kids gathered for the first fair of the series in east Houston.
At the event, kids received free immunizations and health screenings, as well as tips on nutrition.
The National Institute of Health plans to hold five more health fairs across the Houston area over the coming days.
