HOUSTON – Five vintage cars that once belonged to Houston lawyer John O’Quinn have new owners.

The cars went on the auction block this past weekend in Monterey, California and combined to sell for about $5.5 million.

One of those cars was a 1938 Talbot Lago.

The executor of O'Quinn's will also sold 24 other cars to help pay off what's estimated to be $90 million in debt.

O’Quinn died last year in a car accident and left everything in his will to charity.

Longtime girlfriend Darla Lexington, who says the couple lived as husband and wife,  was in the spotlight recently. She claims the cars were gifts to her and asked a judge to stop the sale of the cars. A judge, however, ruled against her.
