HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -– Deputies searched early Wednesday for two suspects who robbed a northwest Harris County homeowner in front of his home.
The 911 call came in from the 10100 block of Sweet Olive around 3:30 a.m., according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the man who was held up was not injured. The suspects fled the scene in a red Dodge Charger.
A Houston police officer later spotted the suspects on Highway 249, but the pair refused to pull over. Eventually they crashed into a wall under a freeway overpass near W. Greens. The men then jumped out and ran away on foot.
K-9 units and an HPD helicopter were used to search for the suspects, but they were never located.
