HOUSTON –- Houston police said two men were taken into custody early Friday after they crashed a pickup truck into a home on the southeast side of town.

Residents reported the crash on Reed Road near Heron Drive around 1:30 a.m.

According to officers with the Houston Police Department, the pickup was traveling eastbound on Reed at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and went through someone’s yard. The truck hit two trees and a home.

Witnesses said four men jumped out of the truck and ran away, but neighbors managed to catch two of them.

Police believe one of the captured men is the driver responsible for the crash.

The investigation is on-going.
