FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Nine people were hospitalized late Saturday night after a multi-vehicle wreck in Fort Bend County.
The incident happened about 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 90A and Highway 99.
According to police, a minivan with seven people inside was traveling east on Highway 90A when the driver ran a red light. A Ford Expedition traveling north on Highway 99 then slammed into the side of the minivan.
All seven people inside the minivan were taken to the hospital, as was two of the five people inside the Expedition.
Authorities said they do not believe alcohol was a factor.
