HOUSTON – Police and EMS responded to an accident involving a motorcycle Monday afternoon on I-10 near downtown.
A cyclist lost control of their bike while driving east on I-10 and smashed into the side of the bridge. The cyclist was thrown from the bike and fell 40 feet off the expressway onto Travis Street below.
The accident happened at 2:15 p.m. The rider survived the fall and was taken away in an ambulance.
Police have not identified the rider, but said that the rider was wearing a helmet.
