MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for some brazen suspects who used a stolen forklift in an early-morning ATM robbery attempt.

Deputies said suspects broke into a hardware store / warehouse behind the Wells Fargo Bank on Highway 59 at Community around 3:30 a.m. and stole a forklift.

The forklift was then driven through the warehouse wall, across the parking lot and through an adjoining fence at the bank’s parking lot, smashing into the ATM in the bank’s drive-through.

The suspects left the overturned, busted-up ATM at the scene, but it is unclear if they got away with any money.

The forklift was still running when Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies arrived.
