HOUSTON – An elderly man who disappeared from his southeast Houston home Friday morning was found in a retention pond several hours later.
Family members had been searching frantically for 70-year-old George Breaux since around 10 a.m.
Breaux has high blood pressure and diabetes so relatives were worried sick.
They finally found him in a pond near an area where part of a fence was missing.
Relatives think he may have been chasing a puppy when he fell into the pond.
Breaux was disoriented and dehydrated when they pulled him out of the water.
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He’s expected to be OK.
