SPRING, Texas – Nine months after a man disappeared without a trace, now his family is mourning his brother’s drowning death.
James Murray chose a little league park as the place to talk about his older brother TJ, and his younger brother, Will.
The boys played baseball there as kids.
“I like coming, it brings back good memories,” Murray said. “That helps a lot.”
Last October, his 23-year-old brother TJ disappeared, and investigators suspect foul play.
This week, 21-year-old Will drowned. He was swimming in the Guadalupe River with friends at the time.
“They’re smiling down on us,” James said. His 12-year-old brother, Sam, is now his only sibling left.
“This brought our family to another level of closeness and I thank the Lord that he has given us the strength to do that,” Murray said.
But the strength is also coming from others. More than 5,000 people from around the world are now sharing a network with the family on Facebook.
The Murrays cannot thank them enough.
At the same time, they still need to know what happened to TJ. They want to know why he walked out of a bar in Montgomery County and never came home.
“I wish someone would say something,” Murray said. “Every day I hope and pray.”
The family is offering a large cash reward for information leading to TJ’s whereabouts.
