HOUSTON – Seven people were injured after a Metro Light Rail train collided with a Ford SUV near the Texas Medical Center.
It happened just after 1 p.m. as the light rail train headed southbound along Fannin and Montrose, Metro officials said.
Two train passengers were taken to an area hospital. Five other passengers who suffered minor injuries received medical attention at the scene.
No one in the SUV was hurt.
The driver of the SUV was cited for making an illegal left turn, Metro officials said.
