HOUSTON – A pedestrian was sent to the hospital after police said he stepped in front of a Metro bus southwest of downtown Houston late Thursday.
The incident occurred on Main Street at Wheeler Avenue around 11:45 p.m., according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said the bus was turning on a green light from Main onto Wheeler when a man stepped off the curb and in front of the vehicle. He was struck and sent to the hospital in stable condition.
The bus only had one passenger at the time of the accident.
