HOUSTON – Gallery Furniture owner Jim McIngvale, better known as Mattress Mack, underwent a heart procedure Thursday.

Mack tweeted that he had the procedure for a condition called PFO at the Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke’s Hospital.

"Looking fwd to getting back to work soon," McIngvale told his Twitter followers.

PFO, or Patent Foramen Ovale, means McInvale had a hole in his heart that didn’t heal on its own.

"I've been having this numbness in my face and it seemed like I had a mini stroke or two," McIngvale said.

It’s very common, but can cause a stroke if left untreated.

"My heart was leaking blood so we did the procedure today," McIngvale said.

Mack said he was getting good treatment at St. Luke's but joked that he was going to hook them up with some Gallery Furniture mattresses.
