Man’s body found in backseat of pickup truck in Richmond

The body of an unidentified male was discovered in a truck Monday morning in Richmond, Texas.

RICHMOND, Texas -- The body of an unidentified male was discovered in a truck Monday morning in Richmond, Texas.

The body was found in the 5400 block of Riverwood.

The Richmond Police Department is working with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit to determine what happened. Richmond Police received a third party call around 10:00 p.m. Sunday where the caller stated that two males were beating a third male and dragging him to a silver truck.

This incident occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at 1930 Rock Falls in Richmond City Limits. Officers responding to the scene were unable to locate the vehicle or any of the parties involved in the altercation.

At 7:15 a.m. Monday the Richmond Police received a call from an individual reporting a missing person. The missing person was believed to be driving a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck. Shortly after this call came in, a Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Deputy found a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck, and the truck was registered to the individual who was reported missing.

It was located parked at the dead end area of the 5400 block of Riverwood. The body of an unidentified Hispanic male was located in the backseat.

The body has not been positively identified so the name of the victim is not being released at this time.
