HOUSTON—Houston police are investigating after a man’s body was found in a dumpster at a waste transfer station in southwest Houston Friday morning.

The body was found at the WCA Waste Corporation in the 9700 block of Ruffino, near the South Belt, shortly before 6 a.m.
A spokesperson for the company said about 10 trucks had already been through the site that morning and workers spotted the body when the trash was being moved to a transfer trailer. Those trailers were to transport the waste to a landfill.
All activity was immediately halted and police were called.
Truck drivers who had been to the site earlier were ordered to return the trucks to the scene. It was not clear if the load that could have brought the body was from a residential or commercial location.
