BOLIVAR PENINSULA — A beach party was interrupted by a man accused of pointing a rifle at the crowd, authorities said Monday. No injuries were reported.
Justin Thomas Brooks, 19, of Bridge City was arrested Sunday morning in the 2900 block of state Highway 87 on the Bolivar Peninsula, stemming from an incident on the sand near Ramada Beach, said Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo, a spokesman for the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
Brooks was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and remained jailed Monday on an $80,000 bond, jail records state.
