HOUSTON—A man survived being ejected from a car and pinned without major injury thanks to rain saturated ground.
Around 11 p.m., Houston firefighters arrived at the southbound feeder of S. Lake Houston Parkway to find a man trapped under a car.
The man had been ejected during an accident and pinned.
Fortunately for the driver, the area the car came to rest on was soft due to all the rain from the past week.
While his leg was pinned under the vehicle, it was not crushed. Instead, it was pressed into the mud.
Emergency responders freed him and he only complained of sores.
He was not transported to the hospital.
