HOUSTON—A contractor working on the roof of an area school was struck by lightning on Sunday morning as storm clouds rolled in over the area, according to authorities.
Around 9 a.m., workers were in the process of replacing the roof at the Primrose School on Barker Cypress at Dundee when it began to get dark.
The workers were in the process of clearing materials off the room when a 30-year-old male was struck by lightning, said a spokesperson with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
His coworkers got him down and began CPR before EMS arrived. He was transported to the hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.
