Man shot through car window, rushed to hospital

HOUSTON -- A man was shot through his driver’s side window Tuesday afternoon in southwest Houston, according to police.

Police say it happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Cambridge Place Apartments in the 10900 block of Meadowglen Lane near Walnut Bend Lane.

Officials say in the complex parking lot, police found the male bleeding from the head. He was driving a Lincoln and the driver’s side window had been blown out.

The victim was initially able to talk to police, but was later transported to Ben Taub Hospital. Police say the bullet went through his cheek bone and then exited. There’s no word on his condition.

Houston police say the shooter fled the scene on foot.
