HOUSTON – A man was shot during an alleged robbery outside a home late Monday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
HPD officers said it was around 9 p.m. when a suspect approached a man in the 300 block of Stiles Street in east Houston. The suspect robbed the victim and then shot him before leaving the scene, witnesses told police.
The victim was taken by private car to a nearby fire station. He was then sent to the hospital by ambulance. Police said the man was likely to survive.
HPD said an investigation into the incident was ongoing, and a search warrant for a nearby garage apartment would be obtained.
