HOUSTON – Witnesses say a motorcyclist killed Friday in a wreck on Harwin was racing.

Investigators said the biker was killed instantly when he hit another car head-on near West Belfort.

Surveillance video from a nearby business shows the motorcycle alongside a car.  It appears he’s on the wrong side of the road, and from a different camera, if you look closely, you can see the violent collision.

“He was racing with another car, the motorcycle, and then evidently just pulled out in the lane, immediately wobbled and hit him,” the witness said.

An army vet and a nurse tried to save the biker, but there was little they could do.

Police said the motorcyclist was going close to 100 miles an hour and that the other car driving alongside of him never stopped.

“We are investigating to see if it was possibly racing, we do know he was traveling at very a high rate of speed,” Sgt. Brian Jordan said.
