MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - A 60-year-old man is in critical condition after a fire got out of control Sunday in New Caney.
Investigators said he was trying to burn a pile of trash when he was engulfed in flames.
He suffered first- and second-degree burns from head to toe and was taken to the hospital by Life Flight.
Firefighters think the man was using an accelerant like gasoline and that triggered a flash fire.
