HOUSTON – A Houston man was fighting for his life after being shot outside his north Houston home early Thursday.
Houston police said 38-year-old Marvin Lucky had been at a pool hall earlier and was returning home to his home on South Lane at Wheatley around 2:40 a.m. when shots rang out.
Lucky was struck an unknown number of times and fell through his door.
His girlfriend, a nurse, tried to perform CPR on him until paramedics arrived.
Lucky was transported to the Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.
The person who shot him remains on the loose.
