STAFFORD, Texas – A man in his 50s died Wednesday night after he was struck by a car on a dark road in Stafford, police said.
The Stafford Police Department said the accident happened around 9 p.m. on Cravens at Linda.
Officers were called to reports of an auto-pedestrian accident and found the man dead in the road. They said he was walking north on the shoulder and was struck by a car being driven by a young female.
Police noted there were no lights along the stretch of road, and the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing. The young woman told officers she couldn’t see him at all.
She stopped right after the accident and waited for police. Charges were not expected to be filed.
