HOUSTON—Capital murder charges have been filed against a man accused of fatally shooting another man in the summer of 2011.
Police said Christopher Williams, 23, shot Nathan Eugene Davis in the head on June 13, 2011. The 44-year-old victim’s body was found behind a dumpster in the 13000 block of Northborough around 12:25 a.m.
HPD homicide investigators opened an investigation, but all possible leads were exhausted and the case grew cold.
In August 2013, evidence collected from the scene was entered into the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) and a match was produced that identified Williams as the suspect in the case. He was subsequently charged for his role in Davis’ death.
Williams was already in the Harris County jail on an unrelated aggravated robbery charge.
