HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- A man stabbed his girlfriend multiple times during an early-morning fight and then waited around for deputies to arrive, the sheriff’s office said Friday.
It happened on Edgehill Drive near Beaumont Place around 1:30 a.m., according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to reports of a stabbing and found a woman with multiple wounds, including at least one to her neck. She was sent to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
Deputies at the scene said the woman’s boyfriend got into an argument with her, and he assaulted her with a knife.
He was still on the scene and was taken into custody without further incident, the sheriff’s office said.
