A big wish came true Tuesday for a six-year-old boy from Houston.

George Gring, who's battling lymphoma, got to dress out with the Carolina Panthers and spend the day with quarterback Cam Newton.

Gring latched on to Newton while watching football highlights in the hospital.

The Make a Wish Foundation made his wish come true with the help of the Panthers organization.

After months of treatment, doctors said Gring's cancer was in remission.
