HOUSTON – Thousands of cyclists – 12,000 to be exact – took off from Houston Saturday morning as a part of the MS 150 Bike Ride to Austin.

The 180-mile bike ride, organized by the National MS Society Lone Star Chapter, is held annually to raise money for multiple sclerosis

Cyclists took off around 6:30 a.m. from Tully Stadium, Katy Fort Bend or Waller.

The first day of the ride will conclude at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange, where riders will stay overnight before heading for the finish line in Austin on Sunday.
