HOUSTON – An accident involving car, a big rig, and a METRO bus blocked part of the Gulf Freeway southbound during the Monday morning rush hour commute.
According to Houston TranStar, the crash was reported at 7:08 a.m. near the exit for Monroe Road. Three mainlanes were blocked.
Freeway cameras showed the car was partially spun around with damage to its rear.
According to officials at the scene, an 18-wheeler struck the small car, which then spun around into the METRO bus.
The car's driver was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
