HOUSTON -- A man who was wanted for bank robberies in Rosenberg and Mississippi was taken down Monday when he hit a bank in Conroe, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Bret Disiere walked into the Post Oak Bank in the 1300 block of West Davis shortly after 9 a.m. Armed with a knife, he hopped over the counter and demanded money from a teller, deputies said.
Thinking he was free and clear, he took the cash and fled. What Disiere did not see, was the MCSO deputy in the corner. The armed deputy, who was working an approved extra job at the bank, grabbed Disiere outside.
Disiere did not put up a fight and was taken into custody, bringing his robbery spree to an end.
