HOUSTON—A 19-year-old student was arrested Thursday at Lone Star College-Victory Center on charges of possession of a stolen weapon, school officials said.

Two witnesses on campus told police that Justin Thomas pointed a gun at students in the parking lot.

“I heard that someone was driving and the girl cut him off and he came up here with a gun and pointed it at her, and the gun didn’t have any bullets, and he came back with another gun,” said Ali Jackson.

Thomas denied that. He said he got into argument with a man and a woman in another car.

“I was in the seat back, because me and dude had a little words, but I never did pull the gun out because it was in the car,” he said.

Thomas, who is a freshman at the community college, said he plans on taking criminal justice classes and hopes to become an officer after he clears his name.

“I was never walking around with the gun, it was in my car and I never pulled it out,” he said. “I’m innocent; I’m going to beat my case.”

Lone Star College has had its fair share of problems. Last year in April,12 people were stabbed at the Cy-Fair campus in north west Harris County. Then in January of last year, two men were shot at the North Harris County campus.
