HOUSTON—An emergency worker has been charged with stealing drugs from ambulances.
Investigators said Jason Peugeot with the La Porte EMS took 60 vials of morphine and more than 160 bottles of fentanyl, an even stronger painkiller.
They talked to several witnesses and even did a DNA test from needles found in the trash. The DNA reportedly matched Peugeot.
Last week Katy Fire Chief Marc Jordan was indicted for allegedly taking valium from ambulances and giving them to someone else.
Officials say the cases are not connected.
