MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- Officials have charged a Kingwood man with several counts for possessing child pornography.
Friday around 6 a.m., members of the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, assisted by members of the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office executed a search warrant in the Mallard Creek complex located at 23423 US 59.
When investigators arrived at the suspect’s residence, he was at work.
Officials continued to investigate and Pct. 4 Captain Mark Seals made contact with the suspect, Jason Roberts, by phone. Roberts agreed to return home.
When he arrived, Roberts made a full confession, admitting to downloading images of child pornography on more than one occasion.
While on-scene, investigators saw multiple images of child pornography.
Roberts’ computer will now be sent to another lab for a full forensic investigation.
Roberts, 35, is charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography. His bond is set at $400,000.
