WEBSTER, Texas –- A KHOU 11 News viewer shared great video of two bald eagles building a nest in a tree outside his home in Webster.

The video, shot Thursday morning, shows the eagles in a tall pine tree above Paul White’s driveway.

White tells KHOU 11 the eagles have been circling the area for a few weeks, chasing squirrels and fishing in Clear Creek. The eagles started perching in the tree a week ago and recently started gathering materials to build a nest.

According to Texas Parks & Wildlife, bald eagles nest in Texas from October to July. Peak egg-laying occurs in December, with hatching primarily in January.

When they are on their own, young bald eagles migrate northward out of Texas, returning by September or October.
