HOUSTON – Jury selection will begin Tuesday in the trial of a Houston man accused of murdering his 3-year-old son.
Roderick Terrell Fountain faces up to life in prison if convicted in the death of Kendrick Jackson, who disappeared in 2006 and was never found.
Fountain said he was doing laundry when Jackson walked away and disappeared. But authorities believe the child was fatally beaten.
Investigators found a shotgun in his house and Fountain was later sentenced to 15 years in prison on a federal weapons charge. He had prior robbery convictions.
A felony murder charge came in 2009 after investigators say he confessed to killing his son to a fellow prisoner.
