HOUSTON – Store officials are not saying much after an IKEA was evacuated Sunday morning because of “technical difficulties” in west Houston.
The incident happened at about 11 a.m. in the store located just off the Katy Freeway near Antoine Road. Store management would not elaborate on why customers were told to leave the building.
However, several customers who were asked to leave said they heard employees talking about a bomb threat.
A couple of police cars could be seen outside of the store, but again, it’s not clear what caused the evacuation.
