HAMSHIRE, Texas -- Interstate 10 in southeast Texas has reopened after crews finished transfering a chemical load from a tanker following a wreck. Department of Public Safety emergency management coordinator Jay Hall told The Associated Press that I-10 near Hamshire reopened Wednesday morning. I-10 had been shut down between Texas 73 and Farm Road 365 near Hamshire, about 65 miles east of Houston, since a two-vehicle wreck early Sunday. The tanker truck overturned in a collision with a pickup. DPS says the tanker truck driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. Isobutane is a flammable, corrosive chemical.
