HOUSTON -- People will start lining up Wednesday night outside the George R. Brown Convention Center for the annual Super Feast. As always, anyone and everyone is welcome. The cooks and the servers are volunteers.
For the 35th year, Houston's City Wide Club of Clubs is preparing the Texas-sized free Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings.
"Cooking cornbread dressing, rice dressing, getting prepared for sweet potatoes, making peach cobbler, just the whole works," said Stephanie Lewis, Regional Project Director of City Wide Club of Clubs.
Everyone is invited. About 20,000 are expected this year, same as last year. Those in attendance will get more than a meal.
'There will also be a complete medical center with medical screenings, haircuts. We're giving away some clothing, food baskets, household items, coats and sweaters," Lewis said.
Donations of food, clothing and money are still being accepted. Click here to find out how to give.
