HOUSTON -- Much of the area got a nice drenching Tuesday, and there could be more rain on the way.
Widespread showers are predicted, with some scattered thunderstorms possible.
"We are seeing some pockets of heavy rain," said KHOU 11 Meteorologist Chita Johnson at noon. "We're also seeing a lot of lightning."
The rain helped cool things down a bit and we probably won't reach 90 today.
The forecast shows a good chance for rain again Wednesday.
