HOUSTON -- Houston will make Olympic history in 2012.  U.S. track and field officials have picked the city to host the men’s and women's marathon trials, Mayor Annise Parker said Monday.

It's the first time a city has hosted the trials for both sexes.

The races will be held Jan. 14, 2012 and the top three finishers will represent the United States at the summer games in London.
