Houston forecast: Rain is on its way
HOUSTON -- Rain chances increase throughout the area as we go through weekend.
Friday evening you may have noticed that temperatures haven’t changed much over the last six hours. KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul said that’s because a blanket of clouds was moderating the temperatures.
A line of showers is moving towards our area. The cool front brewing in Central Texas will move in bringing a wet Saturday and an even wetter Sunday.
Overnight into Saturday, the cloud deck may drop over taller buildings. That may cause early morning fog, so be sure to check with your airline if you’re scheduled to take an early flight out of Houston.
Northwest areas could see a shower early Saturday morning. As we move toward 6:00 p.m., the chance of rain increases throughout the entire viewing area.
Be prepared for showers throughout the day Sunday. If you’re tailgating at the Texans game, don’t forget your umbrella!
