HOUSTON -- The next few days leading up to Christmas Day will be beautiful, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul.

Overnight into Saturday the temperature will be above freezing and most areas will be in the mid-30s.

Temps will reach the upper 60s on Saturday.

For those who will be tailgating at the Texans-Vikings game on Sunday, it will be breezy and in the 70s.

The warm weather continues through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; however, it’ll be wet and rainy on the 25th. There are parts of north Texas who could get snow from the storm; unfortunately, it will be a wet, and not a white Christmas in the Houston area.

It will be cold in the days following Christmas. Wednesday will be chilly and we’ll get a freeze Thursday morning.
