HOUSTON – Temperatures were on the chilly side in the early morning hours Thursday across southeast Texas, but things will warm up nicely this afternoon.
“We are starting off pretty cold this morning with some patchy fog,” said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson. “It’s similar to how we started yesterday, but today we will climb a few degrees warmer.”
Temperatures across Houston were in the 30s and 40s before the sun came up. By lunchtime we’ll be in the low-60s, and this afternoon we’ll top out around 70 degrees.
Friday will be much warmer, topping out around 76-degrees with a 20-percent chance for rain.
This weekend will be warm and partly cloudy with another slight chance for rain returning next week.
