HOUSTON – Friday will kick off a warm and muggy weekend, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman said.
Friday morning will begin in the mid-70s.
“Temperatures will climb to the low 90s it could feel close to 100 in some spots,” he said.
In areas south of downtown there could be a brief stray shower that pops up in the afternoon.
“Otherwise it will be kind of a steam heat kind of day,” Norman said.
The seven-day forecast shows a 20-percent chance of rain heading into the weekend, including Father’s Day.
The rain chances are expected to increase as the next week begins.
